Water Moling Services in the UK
Water Moling is a cost effective and environmentally friendly solution for many underground installation projects. Instead of digging trenches to lay pipes/ducts and cables LDS use a technique called Moling.
This method involves excavating pits at intervals for the mole to be placed. The mole is then entered into the earth on the horizontal face at the bottom of the pit. Destination pits of similar proportions are also dug, and this is where the mole emerges. The mole itself is a steel cylinder, it works as a pneumatic cylinder with pulsed compressed air causing the head of the mole to repeatedly hammer against the soil in front of the mole. The mole displaces the soil creating a bore for the new services to then be pulled through. This reduces the installation time, disturbance and cost.
Pipe sizes range from 25mm to 150mm with distances up to 20m installed in one shot (absolute perfect ground conditions).
Moling uses a small footprint with no need for deep excavations and operates through various ground types, but not all.
This trenchless method is ideal for the installation of shorter runs of cable and ducts, pumped sewer lines, water mains, oil lines and gas lines and all of the list below under roads, existing structures, congested areas, environmentally sensitive areas and waterways.

Fantastic job from Jan. called out on a Sunday as our kitchen sink was completely blocked. On looking at it the pipe work under the kitchen was completely blocked. The drain outflows are complicated and finding a route into the blocked pipe was not straightforward but after looking at it it was resolved quickly. I was worried we’d have to take up the floor to get to it but Jan managed to get the jet machine in avoiding us significant cost.

Had a hole in our clay soil pipe under kitchen floor. Concerned that was going to have to dig up the concrete floor to replace pipe. Fedurco Drainage sorted it with a liner so no need for any destructive works. They did a video of the work before and after to show the fix had worked. Cleaned drain as well. All sorted within an hour and a half of being here. Fantastic service and very approachable.

After one failed attempt by a different company and several goes doing it myself I had to call in fedurco. We had a blockage effecting 2 toilets on 3rd and 4th floors. Top quality job. Booked late afternoon and Jan arrived as promised 9am next morning. Blasted out blocked drain downpipe all the way through the system into main sewage drain. Able to show on CCTV camera all clear and kind enough to explain it all.Updated Aug 2022: recommended to my mother with blocked drain issue. All sorted and good work done. But £1854 for 3-4 hours work and parts. I understand not an easy job digging up concrete replacing/repairing broken drain. But feeling ripped off when £1250 was discussed over a phone call to me (which is still a lot! But felt willing to pay for having it sorted immediately, without hassle of getting other quotes).
